Series 2: Lesson 11 Challenge

Personal Learning Networks:

I have a set of PLNs that I use for resourcing kids crafts for our Transformation Station art area for the kids here at the library.  Here are a few of those links:

happinessishomemade.net

activityvillage.co.uk

kidspot.au

These links have always easy to do and easy to supply projects.

Series 2: Lesson 10 Challenge

Mapping/Directions:

Unfortunately, there is no bus route out this far to the Parman Branch Library at Stone Oak but if the patron was to walk to the nearest Micky D's it would take him 50 minutes.  If he chose to take a bicycle to the interview it would take 21 minutes. I love Google Maps!

Series 2: Lesson 9 Challenge

Coding:

I tried out the Made with Code and made an emoji.  It was fun. If I was to go any further in coding I would probably get lost. So I will stick with the small stuff.

Cheers!

Modern Communication:

The many benefits of using technology as a tool for communication with interviews, meetings and other conference type situations is pretty handy..  It allows you to communicate with other people who are in a different location either across the city or across the country, even internationally.  That convenience alone makes up for any tech difficulties that may occur from time to time.  One drawback that you may lose with this type of technology is the humanness of it.  The actual person to person interaction if you are visiting with a close friend or family member.
